Effectively lead and manage sales team in order to grow and develop the business of the branch. Ensuring that all safety standards and requirements are complied with. Specifically focuses on expanding and maintaining customer base. The perfect candidate must have sound knowledge of the lifting equipment industry.

 

Qualifications / Education:

  • Diploma in Business Management or Marketing

  • Valid driver's license

  • Compliance with Competition Law

  • Contract Law (Supply and Sales)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that the Sales Team generates sales revenue in excess of the budget

  • Supports and builds up a motivated team to become customer focused

  • Interacts directly at management level with loyal and key customers. Also involved in assisting with problematic customers

  • Spends a high proportion of time with sales staff in the field in a coaching role

  • Ensures high level of communication with staff through one-on-one weekly meetings with Reps, weekly sales meetings, and briefing sessions

  • Reviews all supply contracts annually

  • Maintain up to date register with contracts and sales plans with timelines and critical milestones (such as contract expiring and price reviews) for the area/region

  • Responds to changes in cost prices and applies to indices to motivate price adjustments

  • Engages regularly with Buyers and Supply Managers to negotiate price adjustments

  • Maintains up to date market information that includes overall size and segmentation of each product category. This includes a filing system of competitor profiles.

  • Annual customer satisfaction surveys are conducted, analyzed and recommends corrective actions to RM

  • Controls calling activities and expenses of Sales Reps

  • Provides on the job training to staff

  • Required to get to 95% on time delivery performance

Sales Representative

Salary: R24 000 Basic + 10% Commission on all new sales + Medical Aid Contribution + Petrol Allowance

 

As an external sales representative you will represent the company’s full Product line, including the sale of products to complete solutions. Knowledge of the lifting equipment essential with previous truck mounted crane sales beneficial. Own vehicle required due to travel obligations.

A well established company within the lifting/hoisting industry is looking for an internal sales rep to join their team. Successful candidate must be able to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales budgets (Revenue as well as GP targets) for the assigned region or demarcation/or identified/proposed customer base in the Lifting Equipment/Service industry.

Education / Experience

  • Grade 12 with Math

  • Minimum of 3 years sales & technical experience in the lifting/hoisting equipment industry is essential

  • Full Computer literacy

 

Languages:

  • English

  • Afrikaans (beneficial but not essential)

 

Duties:

  • To achieve revenue and margin budgets in a demarcated region/customer base.

  • To fully understand the branch/area customer dynamics and to work with customers in creating long term relationships and brand support.

  • To effectively communicate new products and solutions into the market.

  • Effective and accurate reporting in line with business requirements.

  • Action sales queries/RFQ/orders accurately and within the prescribed time frames.

 

Key Performance Indicators:
